Saturday, May 29 marks the Second Annual PROMona! prom event at dA Center for the Arts. Be forewarned - PROMona! does not resemble the dance you dreamt about your entire senior year of high school, and had nightmares about every day since. Yes, there will be music. Yes, there will be the infamous "punchbowl of doom." Yes, there will be a prom court, where the king and queen will rule the dance floor, but that's where the comparisons end. Because PROMona is being hosted by dA, arguably the hub of the Inland Empire's cutting edge art scene, this prom will be anything but boring. This year's theme, "Come as You ART," hopes to inspire prom-goers to channel their inner DaVinci, Picasso or Warhol. Participants are encouraged to create their own fashion statement by turning traditional prom attire into wearable art.

The prom begins at 8pm, with the King and Queen being crowned at 10pm. Dancing to grooves spun by DJTJ til midnight, and special guest band The Uncalled For.
Tickets are $8 per person in advance and $10 per person at the door, with proceeds going to support continuing community art classes and workshops at the dA.
Food and beverage will available. Nominations for King and Queen must be submitted by May 8, for inclusion on the ballot.
