
Pomona Unified School District and The dA Center for the Arts will be providing a free children's theatre summer camp during the month of June! It is open to up to 35 enrolled PUSD students having just finished grades 3-8. The camp will culminate in a performance of Disney’s The Lion King on June 30th.
When: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, June 5-30
Who: PUSD students who were in 3rd-8th grade during the 2022-2023 school year (rising 4th-9th graders)
What: A summer theatre camp to learn about the basics of musical theatre, ending in a performance on June 30th! Lunch will be provided.
Where: Cortez Magnet School, 1300 N Dudley St, Pomona, CA 91768

Aubrey Schoeman (she/her/they) is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist with a desire to stimulate conversation about social interactions through performance. She adores the act of collaboration, whether between artists or across subjects, techniques, or concepts. Aubrey uses art as a method to expand knowledge of the body and society, and thrives on working with others who contribute alternate perspectives. Aubrey trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, acting and vocal technique, and received a BA from UC Davis in Theatre and Dance and History in 2021. She is beginning to explore the visual arts as well, and plans to incorporate them into her physical work. Aubrey has been an arts educator with the dA Center for the Arts in Pomona, CA since 2020.
